A new wristband health monitor can detect the biochemical precursors of a heart attack up to 30 minutes before it occurs, giving patients and emergency services critical time to respond. Clinical trials showed the device correctly identified 94 percent of cardiac events in advance. The FDA has fast-tracked its approval process.
